Oxybenzone, also known as UV absorber UV-9 or cyasorb uv 9, is a highly efficient benzophenone-based UV absorber widely used to protect materials from UV-induced degradation. It offers strong absorption in the 270–350 nm range, making it one of the most versatile Oxybenzone products for enhancing UV stability in plastics, coatings, cosmetics, and personal care formulations. Due to its good compatibility, low volatility, and excellent photo-stability, absorber UV-9 is an ideal choice for polymers and formulations exposed to prolonged sunlight or artificial UV radiation.

UV absorber UV-9 is a light yellow or white crystalline powder. Ultraviolet absorber UV-9 almost does not absorb visible light, so it is suitable for light-colored transparent products. This product can also be used in paint and synthetic rubber. UV absorber UV-9 has the advantages of high absorption rate, non-toxic, teratogenic effect and good stability to light and heat.
