Bemotrizinol CAS 187393-00-6, also known as Bemotrizinol, referred to as BTZ, is an oil-soluble organic compound, added to the sunscreen to absorb ultraviolet rays, BTZ is a wide area (broadband) ultraviolet absorber, can absorb UVB and UVA, its absorption peak has two, respectively, located at the wavelength 310 and 340nm. Its light stability is very high, even if 50MEDs(minimum red dose) of UV rays, still can retain 98.4% of the amount is not broken down, and other sunscreens such as Avobenzone can also inhibit their photodecomposition reaction.
